RedM MCP
A remote MCP server that gives AI assistants accurate, searchable RedM / Red Dead Redemption 2 scripting knowledge: RDR3 natives (rdr3natives), rdr3_discoveries, VORP, RSGCore, oxmysql, jo_libs, Cfx.re runtime docs and community findings.
Connect
Server URL (Streamable HTTP):
https://redm-mcp.fivem.no/mcp
Claude (web, desktop, mobile)
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, paste the URL above, then click Connect and sign in with Discord.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http redm https://redm-mcp.fivem.no/mcp
Then run /mcp and choose the server to sign in.
Other MCP clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth works. Add the URL above; the client discovers the OAuth endpoints automatically.
Authentication
Sign-in is required and uses Discord with the identify scope only (user ID, username, display name). We never see your email, messages, servers or password, and your client receives an MCP access token, not your Discord token. Access tokens last one hour and are refreshed automatically. See the privacy policy.
Tools
semantic_search | Natural-language search over the whole corpus ("how do I…"). |
lookup_native | Resolve a script native by name or hash: parameters, return type, description, warnings and linked findings. |
asset_lookup | Ped, weapon, object, door and vehicle models by name, hash or partial name. |
discovery_lookup | Animations, audio, IMAPs, clothing, particle effects, flags, textures, controls, bones and other rdr3_discoveries catalogs. |
location_lookup | Where is X, what is near these coordinates, which town a position is in. |
grep_docs | Exact token / regex search across the indexed sources. |
get_document | Fetch a document or section by path. |
read_lines | Read a line range from a source file. |
browse / list_namespaces | See which categories and namespaces exist. |
get_invoke_guide | How to call natives correctly from Lua or JS/TS. |
share_finding | Submit a gotcha you solved so others benefit (reviewed before it is public). |
All tools are read-only except share_finding. The server also exposes prompts (e.g. reviewing a resource for gotchas) and resources such as instructions://decision-tree.
Example prompts
- What does SET_ENTITY_COORDS take, and are there gotchas?
- Give me a sitting-on-chair scenario and the animation dict for it.
- How do I add an item to a player's inventory in VORP?
- Which town are the coordinates -297.5, 791.2 in?
Usage limits
The service is free. Per-user rate limits keep it reliable; if you hit one, the tool response says how long to wait. Community findings are limited to a few submissions per hour and are reviewed before they become public.
Troubleshooting
- Sign-in loops or 401 errors: disconnect and reconnect the server in your client to start a fresh sign-in.
- New tools missing: your client caches the tool list; reconnect or reload it.
- Wrong or missing information: email us, or use
share_findingto contribute the fix.
